My personal tile was a mix of the Adinkran Symbols for Nurturing and God. The symbols didn't have any personal meaning to me but looked artistically appealing. I used additive techniques, putting clay on top of the base slab. I am happy with the end result and feel as if it sufficiently represents both symbols equally.

Architectual Sculpture
The architect I chose to model my design after was Frank Lloyd Wright. I used a lot of straight lines and sharp angles in my design, which Wright did in his. The last picture is the building which inspired my design.

Punk Head Blog Post
The original band member was a bird which played the shaker. I would like to believe the character possibly sings backup as well. Inspired by the bird, I tried to provide it with some human qualities during the design phase. I embellished the eyebrows and gave the bird some ears. Additionally, couldn't find a way to feasibly make a beak so my design has pronounced lips instead. I believe my design is successful and constructed well. The air access holes are discretely disguised as ear holes and the hair has nice texture. There is good paint coverage and an even covering of clear glaze. Due to a shortage of white underglaze, I decided to coat the teeth with a white glaze which provides a little more depth to the color. Overall I would conclude that this project was a success.

- I took this course to expand my grasp on the physical arts. Additionally, I wanted to improve my existing ceramics skills.
- I am confident in my sculpting and digital arts skills. I feel that my drawing and painting skills definitely need improving.
- Despite the fact that I believe that my drawing and painting skills need some work, I want to work on, sculpting and creating different types of ceramic art.
- I am curious about the artistic process.Specifically, I would like to explore more tactics surrounding transferring the pottery ideas I have, into actual art.
